55-59 Column Shift Tilt Steering Column, Bare Steel, Automatic The column comes complete with a neutral safety switch, however an indicator is not included. A shift linkage or cable conversion kit is required for installation and will attach to the lower shift arm provided on the column. 1955-59: For the 1955-59 Chevy Trucks ididit will be including a Delrin cover for the original gearbox, an Underdash Mount & Floor Mount to replace the original. If using a stock box to connect your new 1947-59 Chevy Truck column you will need a Coupler (3/4"DDx1"DD) Part # 47-0510522. If you are installing the column with any other type of application you will use a U-Joint, shaft & coupler. If your truck did not come with factory turn signals use our Female-End Plug to connect your wiring (Part #: 47-051051). 1947-59 steering columns have a 1" DD Shaft.
